Rules
Apprank is a public sponsored leaderboard for software and digital products. Pay once to hold a place until another product climbs higher.
How ranking works
- Contributions are whole US dollars. The minimum listing and contribution are both $1.
- Global rank is total paid, highest first; ties use the time that total was reached, then a stable ID. Category filters never renumber the board.
- Entering an existing canonical URL sponsors that listing. We show the new target total and charge only the calculated contribution.
- App Store, Play Store, GitHub, and similar platforms keep the identifying path. Queries, fragments, credentials, shorteners, and tracking parameters are removed.
What you can list
- Software and digital products with a public official website.
- No adult content, malware, chat or invite links, gambling, crypto or investment offers, illegal or deceptive products, physical goods, human services, or affiliate destinations.
- Destinations are checked before checkout and may be hidden later when safety or policy issues are found.
- Existing listing destinations and metadata cannot be changed by a later sponsor.
- Outbound links are marked sponsored and nofollow.
After you pay
- A completed, verified payment publishes the placement. Every captured contribution is additive; no paid dollar is discarded.
- Losing rank does not remove a placement or trigger a refund. Refunds are deliberate support actions; refunds and disputes recalculate rank.
Metrics and support
- Visitors use privacy-preserving deduplication; online means activity in the last five minutes; clicks count once per visitor, listing, and day.
- Placement revenue is captured contributions minus refunded or disputed amounts, before processor fees and tax.
